That said, I would like to hear your thoughts.Įdit: Thanks for your responses. So, mostly I was wondering if anyone would play a class who only supports during combat? I will probably design it either way because I simply enjoy the creation process, even if it never gets utilized. These are just some ideas I had, I have a few more specific mechanics in mind but haven’t worked out any details yet. Another subclass (antagonist?) would focus on debuffing and maybe drawing the enemies attention away from the rest of the group (tank that doesn’t attack, tricky but doable.) I would also try to work in extra utility outside of combat, not sure how yet. The core of the class could be essentially a combat medic, with a subclass (pacifist?) focused on buffing and maximizing the help action. ![]() The premise being a character who doesn’t attack or deal damage in combat, but rather assists in combat through healing, buffing, debuffing etc. ![]() ![]() So I was toying with the idea of creating a homebrew Supporter class for 5e.
